The crash
claimed the lives of five persons and a number of others were injured en route to the Dead Sea. Those who died were three
Iraqi officials and two UNDP contractors participating in a democratic governance training. The Administrator extends her
deepest condolences to the relatives of the victims and to the Government of Iraq. She expresses the sincere sympathy of UNDP
to the bereaved families and wishes speedy recovery to the injured. The Administrator thanks the Government of Jordan for
having taken immediate steps to provide medical assistance. |
