Introduction


This section of the Policies and Procedures on Programming for Project and Programme Management has been designed for UNDP programme managers and practitioners, as well as UNDP partners involved in the UNDP project cycle.

It provides an overview of the approach to managing UNDP country programmes and projects. It focuses on the programme management processes to be followed and relevant management checkpoints. The Policies and Procedures are supplemented by checklists, templates, and forms, which can be accessed through the links in each sub-section.

NOTE: A Programme and Project Management for Results - Maturity Toolkit has been established to assist UNDP offices in following the policies and practices articulated in the Guide. Each stage of the toolkit provides guidance and support materials to assist a CO in developing capacities and techniques to plan, manage, and implement programmes & projects more successfully.
